This neuroscience-inspired, yoga, and mindfulness podcast is designed to educate families about traumatic brain injury, the power of the mind, and the steps toward resilience and post-traumatic growth.

The Mind Resilience Institute is a podcast interviewing Concussion experts, TBI survivors, mindfulness researchers, authors, and practitioners about their work. We seek the most up to date and a holistic understanding of post-traumatic growth following a Brain Injury.

The foundation of Mind Resilience Institute combines the physical body with the inner-emotional and spiritual journey.  We use our extensive Communication Training and Development combined with an in-depth understanding of the human body and psyche to teach and cultivate awareness of one’s mind and body connection. Whether you are dealing with stresses from everyday life, or have survived a traumatic event, the mind resilience institute offers our corner of the internet as a support system for your journey to health.

MINDFUL MOMENTS PILOT EPISODE

This podcast is part of a study on how specific mindfulness practices enhance and impact communication satisfaction in the personal relationships of those living with Traumatic Brain Injury. How can couples increase relationship satisfaction?  Communicating with patience, kindness, gentleness, and respect (Diamond, 2007).  Married couples must collectively and individually engage in regular practices that quiet negative perceptions.  What a couple feels, hears, sees, and says while interacting creates perception and influences communication.  The following yoga practice teaches mindful communication strategies to improve relationships peacefully.
