Holding both light and shadow.
You want to be there,
constant as the stars,
but as clouds do,
you s h i f t
and need s p a c e
to regain your poise.

So you observe in quiet witness
the sun’s unyielding glow,
the moon’s silent grief,
and the clouds,
moving,
searching.
Feeling
passing through
each change
steadfast
like rain touching Earth
soft, determined
full of hope
You quench my thirsty soul,
light dancing
filtering moments of gloom
Let's Reflecting and meditate
This meditation invites you to hold space for both light and shadow within yourself.
It encourages you to notice the natural ebb and flow of your energy, like the shifting of clouds in the sky. Just as clouds change and require space to regain their balance, you, too, can honor your need for rest, reflection, and renewal.
As you read or reflect on the poem, imagine yourself witnessing the steady, unyielding glow of the sun, the quiet sorrow of the moon, and the gentle movement of the clouds, always changing but always present. This is a reminder to observe your own thoughts and feelings without judgment, allowing them to pass through you....softly, like rain touching the earth.
Let the imagery of the rain and the earth fill you with a sense of softness and determination. Feel the steadiness in the changes you experience and the quiet hope they bring. As you connect with this imagery, allow it to quench your soul and clear away any lingering negative thoughts, replacing them with light, peace, and clarity.
This practice is about embracing the natural rhythm of life and giving yourself permission to shift, rest, and grow without needing to be constant. By meditating on the interplay of light and shadow, you deepen your awareness of your inner landscape, finding strength and softness in the process.
