I recognize that sometimes, the weight of concern can be too much for someone who is already processing their own pain and stress. So, I wrote a poem.
Softest healing kisses everywhere...

in the wake of worry
I flew into words like a storm,
waves of concern crashing,
gathering up
and spilling it out, all unguarded.
I couldn’t find the shore,
lost in a sea of
"Are you okay?"
and
“I need to know.”
When I heard you were safe,
I laughed,
then stilled,
wept,
and RAGED
each feeling a
s w e l l.
Relief
crashing into the weight of waiting,
caring deeply,
i poured myself out
perseverating
in the rush to reach you.

Now, steady as I can be,
a calm hand,
an open heart,
comfortably quiet in the knowing
that you are there.
If you need me, I am
gentle
and still
and solid as the Earth.
Offering only space
solid ground
my presence
soft enough to hold
your thoughts
or just a safe place within me.
