Sometimes, the most potent advocacy doesn’t come through words. It comes through creation.
This painting (attached) reflects my lived experience and the stories of so many who navigate spaces not built with us in mind.
The act of creating embodies the tension between visibility and erasure, resilience and exhaustion, struggle and beauty, love and loss.
🎨 Art as Activism:
Throughout history, artists from the Sins Invalid collective to Tricia Hersey, and Frida Kahlo have used their work to illuminate the realities of disability, neurodivergence, and systemic oppression. Their art doesn’t just depict struggle, it demands transformation!
So today, I’m sharing a piece of my own. Advocacy isn’t just about fighting for policies; it is about shifting culture. It is a call to action, a reminder that accessibility is not just about compliance but about dignity, belonging, love, and the right to exist. And sometimes, that shift begins with the simple act of being seen.

I’d love to hear from others who use art as a tool for change:
How has your creative practice intersected with your activism?
Let’s build this conversation together.
